Clean "hole in the wall" with great price, service and fantastic Vietnamese. Been there twice now and will go again.

Stopped here for a quick Banh Mi since I was missing Vietnam...meat was so so but the rest of the sandwich was great. The prices are reasonable and I would for sure come back here next time I am in HK.

I was hunting for a new lunch spot in the Wan Chai area, and was intrigued by the colorful decor of this place. With that, I went in. Menu was quite straightforward - you had a choice of meat, then of rice/banh mi/noodles, a side and a drink. Having craved a banh mi for a while now, I went for that with the shredded duck and chicken. Keep in mind I've had some pretty good banh mi's back in the States, so I didn't have the highest expectations going in. With that, I was quite impressed with what I got! The proportion of meat and pickled veggies was good, and the taste was also great. Unlike other reviewers, I actually quite enjoyed the bread. They use rice flour, which gave it less of a dense texture, and it was perfectly toasted so that it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. All in all, if I need to grab a quick bite, I'll definitely go back for another banh mi, and perhaps try out their different types of meat!

I was a little hesitant after reading Chris's review below, but I think that probably helped. It set my expectations a little lower. And because of that I was completely satisfied! Now, if you've been to Vietnam, and you've had a proper bánh mì sandwich, this will fall a bit short for you, but if you just want a delicious sandwich cheap, this hits the spot nicely. In addition to a very tasty sandwich, I got the side of fried spring roll, which was delightful. And the staff is super friendly. So there you have it. Taste, service and value. Sounds like a pretty good place to me!
